All about CY450

‘In Vivo’ and ‘In Vitro’ are terms used in the stream of scientific studies. ‘IN VIVO’ can be understood as trying out an experiment where the subject of the experiment is a whole body of living organism and this experiment is performed outside a test tube. This definition calls for an explanation for a condition contrary to this which can be very well supported by bringing in the term ‘IN VITRO’ which means trying out an experiment where the subject is a dead organism and this type of an experiment is performed in a test tube. Now, METABOLISM as we know is basically a process which takes place in every living organism and in simpler words, it can be referred to a set of reactions which take place in order to ensure the maintenance of life.
CY450 is an abbreviation of Cytochrome 450 and they perform the task of oxidising the organic substances. The induction and inhibition of CY450 leads to a lot of drug interactions and therefore this particular set of enzymes is instrumental in making the drugs work and function properly within the body of a subject. The INDUCTION AND INHIBITION of CY450 is very useful and important in clinical operations and their presence is absolutely indispensable at times. The purpose of CY450 Inhibition and CY450 Induction is to make the drugs more soluble in water and to increase the solubility of the drugs would eventually increase the causal effect of these drugs on the subjects’ body. The processes of inhibition and induction also result in cytochrome 450 iso forms which figure in the drug interactions.
